Doing a prime packer i got from Costco a while ago. Just got it dry brining, Plan to put it on before bed. I haven't done one in quite a while.
If, if, decide to inject, I would use straight low sodium beef broth. Is it worth it? If so, should I inject now or shortly before it goes into the smoker?
Injecting is a way to speed up the process of getting salt into the brisket. I see no reason to inject with anything if you've already dry brined to some degree. You'll run the risk of oversalting. The salt will work its way in as the brisket heats up.
Don't see the need if you're dry brining, and especially with a Prime brisket. It will be plenty moist and juicy I reckon. Looking forward to seeing what you do!
