    Brisket point question

    Just left Costco earlier.
    was perusing the meat section, and they carry full packers as well as just flats. What happens to the point that no longer goes with that flat?
    If they sell flats, why not points?
    inquiring minds want to know...

    Grind for burger, I'd imagine. Or maybe processed into commercial pastrami/corned beef.

      I have occasionally seen corned beef points around St paddy's Day, but not at other times.

      Mostly the points are ground for hamburger.

        Sometimes CreekstoneFarms.com will sell twin packs of points. I like to snag them when I see them since the point is my fave and as you point out hard to find.

            I wish I could find the points somewhere since that is my preferred part of the brisket...FAT is flavor...

            I asked that question of my butcher at Wegman’s. Those who say, “ground for burgers” are correct, according to him.
