I just opened the online flyer for a local supermarket (United Supermarket). Their Ranchers reserve angus is very good quality choice. The reserve New York strips are on sale for $4.77 per pound. The store brand select briskets are $1.77 per pound. I normally pick up a couple of the briskets when they are on sale. I wet age them between 60 to 75 days. At that point they smoke up very nicely. If you watch there’s still a few good values on beef.

Yes, I set my weekly menu by what is on sale at my local Ralph's (Kroger). Rarely do I buy protein at full market price. Bought King crab ($25/lb) yesterday for my daughter and I. King crab usually goes for $40/lb. Couple pounds of King crab and some Manilla clams was still cheaper than picking up Sushi.
Got to rationalize paying for that crab
