    First time prime rib -- really didn't suck...

    I may have to add Meathead to my will. I followed his instructions for prime rib and was not disappointed, to put it mildly. Had a 4+ pound boneless (after trimming) prime rib that came out phenomenally beautious. Trimmed the fat, tied 'er up, and spread the salt yesterday. A few hours before today's cook, I added Mrs. O'Leary's paste (using water) and let it luxuriate for a few hours. Put it on the Rec Rec for ~3.5 hours @225 (then 250) and finished it off on the Weber with Grill Grates for a nice seer. A beautiful dinner, complimented with a really nice Napa cab. Yes indeed, I've found my happy place...

                      Very nice ecully! You had me at the pics and the description, but definitely had me at "Napa cab"! I bet that was a nice meal.
