I use the Fifth Dimension Powder from the book "Wicked Good Burgers". 1 TBS of this mix per pound of hamburger.
To make a batch use the following ratios.
3 units of porcini powder
1 unit of portobello powder
1 unit of Worcestershire powder
1 unit of onion powder
1 unit of garlic powder
I got the first 3 items from Amazon.
Fortunately, I have an Asian market close by and the mushroom powder is easy. This looks good. I might try this one for the first round. And it gives ratios for pound of meat. Just what I needed.
