There's a few Asian recipes, usually Korean, that use sliced then grilled brisket.

Not much help, but I swear I saw someone on youtube (thought it was the mad scientist) that marinaded the brisket, seared the outside on a propane grill, sliced it, cooked the slices at a high temp, sauced, and served. Claimed it was the best ever.. Unfortunately, I can't local the video.. Seems like they did the whole brisket in under an hour.

UPDATE: He says it came out too tough (like you all said it would) and some pieces balled up on him. I don't think he cut it thin enough to get the KBBQ effect but he said the flavor was still decent. I asked him what temp he brought it to (he just got an instant read thermometer) but he didn't temp them. Hopefully his next outing will be more successful!
