    Need a Recipe to Cure And Smoke Beef Bacon

    A couple of days ago, my butcher sold me beef bacon. IT.WAS.GREAT!! I’m pretty sure some of the forum members have made this and it was probably wayyy better than the store bought bacon. Please let me know of any of your beef bacon recipes so that I can give it a try. Thanks to all!!

    I'm no expert, but I would think you would follow Meathead's homemade bacon recipe and substitute your desired beef cut for the pork belly.

      efincoop is right, it's basically the same. I don't wet cure my bacon, I dry cure it so that's a little different.

        I recently used a dry cure on my last batch of bacon. Everyone liked it. Next time I pan to go half & half so I can compare them head to head. The dry cure I did seemed to be for sugar forward.

        Bkhuna - not sure I understand. You smoke it, just like regular bacon, after curing it. You could add smoked paprika etc to the cure, I suppose.
