    Short plate ribs

I plan on smoking my first short plate ribs this weekend does anyone have a good rub recipe they can share?

Meathead's Big Bad Beef Rub is very good. I usually add ½-1 tsp ground cumin to it.

Equal parts salt and coarse ground pepper works for me. Some will add onion and/or garlic powders to that. And There is also Big Bad Beef Rub on the free side.

Plate Ribs, way to go. Brisket in the bone.

I've used the Big Bad Beef Rub several times and can attest that it's very good.

Depends on how short the plate is! Welcome, eat good and have fun!

RonB nailed it as far as I am concerned. It is just a great cut of meal that you only want to compliment, not detract from the flavor. Salt, pepper and the occasionally garlic powder is my goto.

Just treat it like brisket. My preference is good ol' salt, pepper and granulated garlic.

Beef ribs are one of the great eats pieces of meat and pretty easy if you are patient. 5-6 hours is the magic mark where the fat has rendered and the meat will pull right off the bone at 250 degree heat https://jesspryles.com/recipe/smoked-bbq-beef-ribs/
