Favorite Sauce from a Jar UNDOCTORED

Prejudice here. I am hands down Montgomery Inn fan. Tonite lazy big time so grilling chix breast with fried green tomatoes and baked potato with steamed broccoli.

It varies, but just now I’m favoring Head Country Apple Habanero. Don’t use sauce much, but this one has a little heat and a little sweet (maybe too much sweet).

Sometimes a little sauce just sounds good and hits the spot.

Don't use no frigging sauce except on pulled pork then Lexington vinegar based. I liked to taste the meat.

Blues Hog Original followed by Blues Hog Tennessee Red. The red sauce is a bit of an acquired taste but after a few jars, man I love it.

I usually order a big bottle of both every year and we mix and match them for desired consistency and heat level. Wife really prefers the Smokey mountain one now though.

I actually really love some cheap sauces i get from Aldi. They have a Kansas City one and a Carolina Gold one which are both really good IMO.

Sometimes store brand or generics can surprise you. I always fear the big pump sauce jugs or the discount sauce bottles I see on the condiment line or table at some concession stands or food booths but have been pleasantly surprised before.

Famous Dave’s sauces aren’t bad at all... especially for store bought.

Stubb's original for me, family likes Sweet Baby Rays. I usually prefer to make my own though.

Man I completely get what you are saying about a lazy cook or not having the time, energy, or desire for extra dishes to mix and match or brew up your own concoction. Never mind the self righteous blowhards that don’t use no friggin sauce... yeah I eat plenty of Q without it but sometimes you just want a bbq bacon burger dripping with sauce, a bbq chicken breast, or something else slathered in sauce... i always do a light coat of sauce on my pork burgers...

I know this sounds weird but it depends on what it is going on, what rub I am using, etc... so there are typically a few different bottles floating around.

i.e. for pork chops, Walnut Creek has an apple butter bbq sauce that I really like.

We are fans of the Blues Hog line and mixing them to desired consistency and heat but if we had to choose one then.... My wife really like Blues Hog Smokey Mountain sauce...

For store bought we most generally keep a big bottle of Sweet Baby Rays around for various uses from beans to lazy cooking to bbq cheeseburger etc...

Sometimes we feel more like a vinegar sauce and sometimes more like a Kansas style.... it all just depends I guess.
