Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.

My guess is it's too similar to Yeti & Grizzly, so eliminated a little redundancy. I could easily be wrong, just a wager. Also, he mentions in the very beginning that 6 manufacturers took him up on the offer to test. Perhaps RTIC was one who didn't wish to participate.

Masterbuilt kettle that I call the $30 wonder grill

Anova WiFi sous vide machine
Thermoworks Thermapen and Chef Alarm
Great info. It would be interesting to see Rtic as well.
I do do have a few soft sided coolers. One Yeti and one Rtic. The Yeti does well in the summer when I take it to the Lake. Most of the Ice melts, but the water stays cold enough to use. I only got the Rtic late fall, so haven’t been able to see how it works in the heat.
But out thanks again for the review. Cabela’s always puts out great stuff!

Time to run to Cabela's Bargain Cave and take a look see! Our Cabela's just opened. Just in time to close or turn into a Bass Pro.
First thing I did was check those coolers- nope, no bargains yet. I wonder if Cabela's will re-brand or operate as Cabela's still...I only read a couple articles and none (that I seen anyway) addressed that.
I appreciate the thought and abuse tests that went into this review.
Still interested to know
1. How hard is each to clean when bbq drippings get inside and potentially stain/smell? Is there a difference between roto molded and conevtional materials?
2. How robust are the gaskets and sealing mechanisms to the aforementioned drippings? How hard is it to obtain and install replacement gaskets?
