Wow, thanks for your support! Awesome!
I did send a large batch over, but I saw that Amazon is still unpacking, so the numbers in stock will increase steadily.
All you pit members are very talented, so I think the recipes will be of most interest, as well as the photos.
The original title is (freely translated) "Barbecue in plain Swedish". I wrote it because I was missing a book in Swedish (my own language) that explained barbecue in detail, what to do, what not to do et.c. There are plenty of American books available, and Meathead's book is The Bible, but they're all still in English. I read it fluently, but for many people it really helps reading their native language. And I wanted to share my experiences and learnings, to tell my story.
After releasing it I got the crazy idea to translate it to English. I still don't know if it is a bold move or just certifiable, trying to sell a bbq book to Americans. But what the heck, you only live once :-)

Henrik, BBQ books are a lot like chess books. They all seem to be mainly geared towards beginners, containing much of the same information as the next. Every now and then you might find a little nugget of gold that enriches ones "game", but basically all the same. Interestingly enough, the one chess book that stands out to me as a real eye opener, was a poorly translated (from German) copy by Emmanuel Lasker. Some tough reading for sure, yet it was also a treasure trove of relatively simple ideas and ways of thinking that changed the way I viewed most everything on the board.
I'm not really sure why I mention all this, other than it is the middle of the night here and I'm wide awake. Probably because this American with internet access to the greatest wealth of BBQ knowledge available anywhere just bought yet another BBQ book, and your mention of reading books that have been translated got me to thinking about my "Lasker" experience.
I'm certain that, at the least, I will find a nugget of goodness in there to up my game.

I've bought a few bbq books from UK authors over the last few years. It's always interesting to see how folks from other countries interpret "American" bbq and then put their own spin on it.Originally posted by Henrik View Post...

I'm looking forward to a Swedish take on bbq. I just hope that none of your recipes incorporate surströmming.

Henrik As good as your English is here I'm sure it'll be perfect! I was a good student in school and college and I still think yours is better than mine is. Anyway I got my delivery notice for tomorrow. My kids loved the Jamaican Sticky Drumsticks, can't wait for more treasures!

Henrik Cocoa? YUM! Chicken? Yum! Deal! Might have to be my first recipe after getting it. That, or we have a pork tenderloin that needs cooked up tomorrow, so I'll be scanning for a tenderloin recipe if the book comes in time tomorrow.
