Thanks for the recipe, but...being from the deserts of the SW, I wouldn't know a butter clam or a sea clam from a stick of butter or a cup of salt water... I'm afraid I'll just be stuck with canned clams. ;-)

Not sure why I clicked on the thread, knowing chowdah usually is not GF….but as I read your ingredients I see only saltines if wanted….and then GF!!
thank you for posting this! I’ve never looked into making chowdah on my own, but heck! With this…It will be something I make soon. So thank you again for the recipe and pointing out this is GF!
