Tried the Salt Block tonight that my Grandchildren gave me for Christmas. We had a Tri Tip in the freezer that had already been SV'd at 134 for 10 hours. I sliced it and seared it on the salt block. It worked great.I discovered a way to feed some of my Family and Friends that won't eat a piece of beef cooked to medium rare.Searing the sliced TT for just a few seconds takes the red out and still keeps it tender. Another benefit was having a FoodSaver. The TT had been in the freezer since August 2018. Served with a salad and Butternut Squash.
