    Questions about Prague Powder disposal

So I got some Prague Powder #1 with the intention of doing some curing. Good news.

Bad news: my wife fixated on the toxicity of the Powder and wanted to know how to get rid of it "when we figure out that we're not opening a bacon and pastrami store".

Anyone know the propper disposal technique? Seems like the disposal or a landfill isn't appropriate for something like this. Can the stuff be neutralized or converted to harmless compounds easily?

Apparently I'm going to expire from too much bacon and pastrami leaving her with a jar of toxic powder.

George - I don't know how to properly dispose of it but your story paints exactly what happens in my house and I'm laughing out loud. Thanks!

Ditto and Ditto. Death is always knocking at our door. Unloaded gun with bolt removed, might as well be carrying a nuclear war head.

Just dissolve it and then pour it down the drain.

Please, point out th' use of th' words "safely used"

          >Edit< Here's another: Link

I'll look fer more exhaustive resources what provide more specific insight t' yer OP... ie.; compliant disposal, if indeed, anysuch is stipulated, or regulated.
I'm so glad I live alone.
I know which I would be disposin' of.

Sounds like the prelude to my divorce. Watch out for the alimony!

But seriously, this stuff is not particularly toxic (diluted), follow the advice of Histrix .

Good grief! Find someone who is not so paranoid and give it to them to use so they can enjoy homemade bacon etc...

If you believe the media, talcum powder is more toxic than Prague powder and it doesn't dissolve in water. What does your phobic wife have to say about that?

According to IARC bacon and cured meats causes cancer - lol..lol..lol.. Take that conclusion with a grain of prague powder.
