    • 1 cup of ketchup
    • 1 cup pure maple syrup
    • 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar
    • 1/4 cup molasses
    • 1 cup sugar (brown sugar for richer flavor)
    • 1 tbsp salt
    • 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 tbsp garlic powder
    • 1 tbsp ground clove
    • 1 tbsp ground nutmeg
    • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper powder
    • 1 tbsp chili powder
    • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon

    1. Combine all ingredients into medium sauce pan over
      medium-high heat
    2. Bring the mixture to a light boil and then simmer on medium
      heat
    3. The sauce will be quite thick from the pumpkin puree so be
sure to stir intermittently to prevent burning on the bottom of the pan
    4. Allow the mixture to simmer for 20-30 minutes or until it
      has reached a desirable thickness
    5. Remove from heat and transfer to a mason jar, let the flavors develop overnight in the fridge before serving
Don't forget the charcoal for all your charcoal burning needs.

Pumpkin Spice is so over-done this time of year. I have found it to be an acquired taste that I struggle with in the quantities I see all over the place this time of year. Great to see someone else getting on the pumpkin spice wagon. But, please count me out of this one.
