Congratulations on your purchase. I love cooking on my Grilla OG. Nothing could be simpler.
For pellets, I’ll get Bear Mountain pellets from Tractor Supply or I’ll get Lumber Jack pellets from Rural King. I can usually find them for $9.99 for a 20 lb. bag.
Also don’t forget to customize your Grilla OG. A vinyl sticker of your choice works perfectly on the base.
Carolyn I have bought quite a few Bear Mountain bags at TS. My wife and I did run an experiment and concluded that there really isn't a taste difference between, say, apple or cherry or pecan. But, it burns good, has very little dust in the bags and doesn't jam up my Z Grills auger. And the price is excellent.

Congrats, Carolyn. The OG is a great piece of gear. My best advice is to stick with Grilla Pellets for a while before succumbing to the urge to find bargain alternatives ... 'cause dusty cheapo's can cause lots of problems. Also, be prepared to adjust your OG's temperature offsets. It's easy and you really do need to check calibration against a trusted standard (like something from Thermoworks) before trusting the built-in controller completely.

Congratulations! I have had one, the non wifi version, for about 6 years and it works really well. I recommend the grill grates for it if you want to get it running a bit hotter at the level of the meat.
Carolyn if you still plan to add a gas grill to the mix, skip the Grillgrates for the Grilla. They are mostly if you want to attempt to sear on the indirect pellet smoker. Easier to get a good sear on a gasser…
Congrats on the OG! I like mine. My go to pellets are B & B championship blend—pecan, oak, and cherry. They’re made by BBQer’s Delight, like them a lot.
Carolyn I use the Costco Kirkland 40 lb. bag of pellets in my Camp Chef Woodwind. I get less ash than I do from Camp Chef pellets, burns consistently and is a blend of Hickory Cherry and Maple. Typically $12.99 for the 40 pound bag.
My husband informed me that, "There has been movement on your smoker." In other words, the credit card was charged. I did not receive any communication from Grilla Grillls regarding shipment. 🤷♀️
Do you know how it is being shipped to you. USPS, UPS and Fedex all have the ability to go to their websites and find your shipment. Of course, I just saw this and we are <12 hours from customer service hours, but still... I am obsessive enough to have alerts on all of them.
acorgihouse No, I don't know which method. I get text alerts if possible and track if I can't. I'll call tomorrow and see what is up. They have been having some problems, but I don't understand why they wouldn't send an e-mail. I got one quickly when I made the order.

I'm vicariously enjoying your experience, Carolyn . I was all set to get an OG Grilla mostly for footprint reasons and from the trusted raves from earlier users like MBMorgan . A few of the more recent reviews are not as glowing, so I got scared off. I think there was some change in management in the past year or two? Anyway, I'm hoping that it works beautifully for you so I can put it back on my pellet cooker list.
Disclamer: I don't need a pellet cooker, being delighted with the cookers and grills that I already have, but I think I might want one for the fun of it.
Yeah, Grilla Grills sold their family owned company to American Outdoor Brands, so it isn't the same as it used to be. Their showrooms got shut down, which is a shame.
I joined the customer FB page before making my decision, and I haven't seen any major complaints about the OG's performance. I think, as long as people's expectations are reasonable, they will probably enjoy using it. There have been some issues with the app, but I think that is getting sorted out.
There have been a some complaints about customer service recently, but mostly, they get praise. A couple employees cruise the FB page and kind of jump-in on their own to help people out, which is nice.
I have a feeling, if the performance of this cooker isn't so great, then it will mostly likely be user inexperience. I have a lot to learn.
