    Qwick Trim

Anybody used the QuickTrim? What do you think?

I wonder; is it adaptable for lefties?

Clever idea, potato peeler for brisket. I like it but will stick to my boning knife, it’s an old dog new tricks thing.

A uni-tasker, and I suspect hard to sharpen. Get a good knife, and learn how to use it, I'd say. On the other hand, I didn't know about The Grommet. Bookmarked.

I’m the worlds worst brisket trimmer. If anyone can attest to this thing actually working I’m interested.

I went out on their site and couldn't find any reference to replacement blades ... and no suggestions about how to keep it sharp. I'll pass ...

They have 3 and 6 packs of replacement blades. Slightly expensive tho.

As a side note, don’t google just "QuickTrim" otherwise you’ll get the Kardashian approved weight loss supplement... 😂

A one trick pony. If I owned a BBQ restaurant and had to trim a bunch of briskets daily that would be one thing. But I don’t. So I would use this thing 4 - 6 times a year.

I could figure out how to keep it sharp. It’s metal. Like any other knife. Looks like 2 screws hold the blade on, if so the blade can be easily removed and honed up on a stone.

Dont think it would for me though. I simply don’t need to trim that much meat. But a neat idea for those who do.

What's all this rot about a one trick pony? This thing looks like a mini log shaver, so you can trim your brisket and peel the logs for that dream cabin.....

An intriguin device, though I'd most likely do more harm than good, learnin th curve.

When these wear out, mebbe I'll order me one...

I looked at this. It would have to be able to maintain hair shaving sharpness to save effort VS a good boning knife.

I could see see the one advantage being if it prevented you from going too deep, but that would require an adjustable depth setting?

As someone mentioned earlier, and in the words of Alton Brown, "Uni-tasker". Fine if you turn out several briskets every day, but questionable for the average home pitmaster.

I will stick with a knife. Also can't see that thing fitting in any knife draw. Looks like it has more drawbacks than advantages.
