    Estate sale Le Creuset $16….

I looked it up, this is currently on sale for $235. I might take a road trip tomorrow morning. Might pick up that griddle, too.

And when you see that someone owned something like that, there’s a decent chance that some of these skillets might be AllClad, or MadeIn, etc.. Plus I should probably look in the knife drawer.

If that's real, I'd be 1st on line tomorrow.

It’s definitely real. It’s the same estate sale company that I got the $11 Zwilling knife, the $14 AllClad sauce pan, and the $8 KitchenAid blender, a couple years ago. I even said to the guy taking my money, “You know that’s a $150 knife brand new.” He nodded and told me to enjoy it.

Also, both my KitchenAid mixers. The tilt head for $45, the 6qt bowl lift Professional for $100.

Yep. Learn a bit, maybe find some deals.
One of the outfits here doing estate sales told me, we are liquidators, can't wait for best price. Thus my large BGE for $200.
For me, I like to see interesting houses, and trust my instincts when I find interesting pieces.

I have two huge misses: first, a Schwinn AirDyne, the old style with the solid frame, for $7. And a COMPLETE SET of Cuisinart copper bottom cookware, the shiny ones from France, for $100. I don’t mind not having the AirDyne. But I’m still pissed I passed on the cookware. We were leaving for Las Vegas the next day, and I had a lot of stuff on my mind and just wasn’t in a buying mood. It wasn’t the money; I just didn’t feel like buying stuff.

Estate sales are fun. Be sure to check out the garage. Prosperous people have good stuff there too. If the kids just want rid of it you win.

That Little Red Riding Hood cookie jar is an expensive collectible. I don't think the pads are worth much, though.

I got here 15 minutes early, but I was still 10 minutes late, and while I was waiting in line I watched someone walk out with the Le Creuset stuff. But the stainless on the stove was all the really good Calphalon, so I picked it up for $50.

That steamer looks great. Now go make some tamales for Christmas. There are few things better than a tamale fresh from the steamer.

Oak Smoke My eyes went to the steamer too. That's a nice little set up. Perfect for a couple of artichokes.

Nice pick up. The earlier conversation on the Le Creuset saucepan made me look up the Le Creuset saucepan I picked up in an Albuquerque antique store on the cheap years ago. Found out that it is a Fondue saucepan.

Sure can't beat $16 for something that costs $235. I call that a Win with a capital W.

I missed that, but I like the Calphlon that I did get. There’s a stainless steel omelet pan in there, which I’m going to accept as a challenge.

                  #14
Doesn't appear that Calphalon makes that stockpot/steamer any longer. I think that one item is worth at least the $50 you spent (used price). Buy a Stockpot/steamer get 10 more pieces of cookware free, and you can always sell the ones you don't think you will use. 👍

It’s not really a steamer. It’s one of those pasta things. The insert goes all the way down to the bottom. You put the insert in the pot, fill with water, boil, then put the pasta in. When the pasta is done, you remove the insert and the pasta comes out, leaving the water in the pot.

I already have a couple steamers, one that size and one 2 quart sized. I do need to make some artichokes some day.

AllClad calls it a pentola. I have one and use it regularly.
