    Goofy Tools

I’m doing an Interview with Christopher Kimball of Milk Street soon and we’ll be talking about accessories among other things. He’ll ask me about some of the goofy ones, silly ideas. Got any? Here are the ones I have so far:

Grillbot – the Roomba for cleaning grates https://www.amazon.com/Grillbot-Auto...n%2C105&sr=1-3

Charcoal chimney with a blower https://www.amazon.com/Charcoal-Resi...n%2C95&sr=1-76

    Garlic, onion, paprika charcoal https://www.amazon.com/Kingsford-326...en%2C85&sr=1-5

    A basket for making s'mores. https://www.amazon.com/Smore-Love-ST...dp/B005EVJWC2/

Firewire skewers make it nearly impossible to get your meat or vegetables done on all sides at the same time since they are always turning on the wire https://www.amazon.com/Fire-Wire-Sta...n%2C142&sr=1-9

You can lighten the load with Coor's Light. It has to weigh less, right?
That is why it is called light.

I am disappointed you all don't like it.I always thought I wanted a ribolator because they looked so cool and I already have a roti for the Weber.

Purc The truth is, they were difficult to install, a pain to clean, and the tray's were way too narrow for anything other than chicken wings. If you want a doo-dad for making wings, the vortex is the way to go.

I absolutely love mine! Everything must be within the confines of each tray.
I will admit they are a PIA to clean, soo into the dishwasher they go. Works great!
BabyBacks only, SLC are not allowed.

Don’t forget the Reel Roaster! Now it’s easy to make your favorite hot dogs without all that pesky flipping them over. Just stand there like a fool and turn the reel like a fishing rod….🙄

I like how the shaft is about 3 inches long. Burnt hands if the fire's hot enough to even cook a dog. Make it 2'+ and we can talk.

made out of nice melty plastic too.
I have never had any difficulty cranking my own weiner manually, however.
Huskee thank you for your thoughts on ideal weiner-shaft-length. I'm thinking there might be some "goldilocks" zone somewhere between 3" and 2' that most people are comfortable with.

gboss I see we're rife with innuendo here, lol. I bought a pack of the extendo hot dog roasters for my kids and those buggers are handy. They extend out to about 2' (think old radio antenna) and I wouldn't want them shorter. They don't last long, the first time a kid sets it down still extended and it falls over and gets stepped on, it's toast and won't close up ever again, but you get what you pay for and they're inexpensive.

Now Meathead, I know he has his moments but it's not nice to refer to Panhead John like that! He's actually a nice enough guy, and only a little bit of a tool.

          Charcoal chimney with a blower?
the bbq dragon blower and XL chimney of insanity is great for getting a lot of coal ripping hot fast, a lot of the time I grill or wok on top of the chimney. Waaay hotter than a standard chimney. Wok glows red if you aren’t paying attention (and you need to pay attention).
