Don’t be fooled by cheap imitations….this is the official post! Anyway, as David mentioned we were supposed to meet at the rest stop just inside Louisiana. Those plans went to hell. Anyway, I left Houston at 8 am headed to Louisiana.
Typical early morning traffic……
About 5 miles from the La. border we hit this on I-10……traveled 5 miles in about 1 1/2 hours!
Finally made it to the rest stop
I continued my tradition of eating only at the world’s finest dining establishments…..
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

So here we are in Cajun Country and, naturally, our first order of business is to go eat Mexican food at La Pagua. This was some seriously good food. I got the Carne Asada with two cheese enchiladas, sauteed onions, and refried beans. I was not disappointed.
Not the full group yet, bet we still proceeded forward with our group discussions on solving Global Warming and other issues….we determined that consumption of beer and margaritas was definitely helpful in jump starting our solutions to these problems.

Well, turns out everyone here is a real a-hole. LOL just kidding, only John 😂. Everyone is as wonderful as they have seemed online for all these years. So great to be here together! As David said, the first meal was the Mexican food that Louisiana is celebrated for, and me and CandySueQ both ordered the seafood enchiladas. They were loaded with crawfish, crab, and shrimp, and soooo delicious.
