So what do you folks think? I picked the Camp Chef Pellet Smoker and Grill. It's kinda funny cuz I had a running argument with a friend of mine over whether I should buy an Egg or a pellet smoker, and the egg won, but now I'll have both.
Thanks to all for the congrats and well wishing. I get the feeling this is a pretty great group of people.

When I won, I was tempted to upgrade my Traeger pellet grill, but chose to get the KEG so that I would have both. That was a great decision. I'm sure you will enjoy both.
Pardon me bubbabob but you look to be getting up there in years. With what I have put my CampChef through I expect to will it to someone. You may want to do the same. LOL
I came close to buying a rectec...actually ordered it but cancelled and did the KBQ instead. Don't regret it at all but still wanted to get a rec Tec or mak pellet someday
LOL... Drbearsec you ain't got a chance in h€ll of being a winner.🙈 You've made over 100 post in the Pit. Previous winners rarely have more than 10 or 20 posts. Maybe you can break that pattern. Good luck.👍
I already posted this in Pellet Smokers but thought I should do so here too. I guess if I'm wrong they'll fix it for me...
Some of you may remember I won the God Medal Giveaway for June, and I got it about 1.5 hours ago. It's a Camp Chef Smoke Pro PG 24 DLX, and 1st blush is that it's a very nice smoker. It took about 45 minutes to read the directions and get it set up and ready to go. I'm doing the burn in as I write. I set it at 350 per recommendation from the company and it's purring along between 345 and 355. I'll only be doing the burn in today, but I'm going to cook up a couple racks of baby backs tomorrow and I'll try and take some pics. Thanks again Amazing Ribs and Camp Chef for this great smoker!!!!
Cheers,
BB

Just to prove that I'm a hopeless geek, I just looked at the member list. It's 1400+ pages with 10 per page, so somewhere north of 14,000 members. You have to page to the fourth page to find anybody with more than 1 post, and many are "charter" members with 0 posts. Thus it appears statistically likely that somebody who does not post much will win. I also understand that the law requires that anybody that sends in a request has to be added to the pool even if they are not a member.
I was a member for over a year before I posted anything, but I learned a whole lot from those who post frequently. I would have to say that (whatever the annual dues are) was money better spent than most. Anyway, hang in there, sooner or later one of the frequent posters will hit the jackpot. I just hope it's not till after a mediocre poster (me) wins.
Currently 14,810 members and counting. Of those 3,416 are current, so for easy math I am saying the active members have a 23.065496286% chance of winning.
Just sent the list off to the prize folks. Should hear back soon. At the request of boftx we're going to start a new thread for each new winner from now on. Should make it easier to keep up with who's won what or somethin like that he said... Seemed like an OK idea so why not?
As promised, I took a bunch of pics before during and after my baby back cook.
Assembled and ready to go.
The inside of the beast.
The ribs were rubbed with mustard and Byrons Butt Rub, and Big Dick's Margarita Rub, then refrigerated over nite. I prepped the beans while I was waiting to start the cook.
Put 'em on at 2pm for 3 hours at 225.
Tented after the 1st 3 hours of the cook. I pulled the beans and finished cooking them in my oven.
Back in the smoke after tenting.
I've heard that pellet smokers don't give up as much smoke flavor as other types of cookers...but check out the smoke ring!
Plated up with my wife's fantastic 'tato salad and Gary's totally scrumptious baked beans.
I did watch this cook pretty closely cuz it was the 1st time to use a pellet smoker. Pretty easy peasy cook, I gotta say, and I'm looking forward to a lot more of them.
Thanks again Camp Chef and Amazing Ribs!!!!

Reason: Pictures didn't show up in my post.
Thanks for the pictorial record. I'm going to put a couple racks of baby back ribs on my Broil King KEG tomorrow (fixed another chicken on the Treager this afternoon).
The pulled pork in the first attempt turned out great. We followed the advice on how to tame the beast, and now I can confirm a couple racks of ribs also worked great. Here are the starting point, an almost ready shot, and finally sauced and sizzling.
Update - We never heard from our first winner so @Timkatt (https://pitmaster.amazingribs.com/member/1549-timkatt) has been randomly selected as the winner and has
