Thanks for the update and the back story ( sorry, I couldn't help myself). It sure is a beauty! I almost went with the bigger model (M32?) but that's another story. Have fun breaker her in and be sure to post about your journey!

Great write-up. I'm expecting delivery of an M1 in a few weeks and may have trouble soliciting help. Do you have any tips / lessons learned regarding solo uncrating and rolling off? I keep looking at pictures of the crated cookers and am having a hard time coming up with a strategy.Originally posted by drsefu View Post...
Uncrating was interesting as I didn't want to wait for help (I had taken the day off for an appointment and plans to mess with the grill). Hind sight is 20/20 so I definitely could have planned the rolling off part better...I may have a sore back and body now but I managed without the grill getting damaged, which is most important 😁.
...
Thanks.

My advice is to have some help because these things are heavy.Originally posted by Bross View Post

Bross, I was a bit surprised that rolling it from the driveway around the side of the house and onto the back patio was so uneventful. Lol. My son helped me and I surely expected that the moment we got on to the grass that it would sink just enough to not want to roll. In my case, we rolled it the whole way and we didn't get "stuck" anywhere. He and I were on opposite ends and just tried to lift upwards a little while rolling. We thought by doing it that way it would take some weight off the small wheels. Lucky for us that actually worked and we made it pretty easily . I thought we were going to have to put something down that would be smooth to roll on such as sheets of plywood or something. Thankfully the M1 handled its off road adventure fairly well in my case.
