    You gotta do this before summer ends

    Get a ripe beefsteak tomato, fresh lettuce (or spinach), a couple of slices of bread, your favorite sandwich spread, and at least six thick slices of local dry cured bacon. Fire up your pit to cook the bacon. Pull it out when done to your satisfaction, and assemble the perfection. It took my KBQ about thirty minutes to achieve pure pork goodness.

    I have a large, ripe heirloom tomato sitting on the counter and 6 pounds of my own bacon in the fridge. This is happening for lunch tomorrow.

    PS enjoying a Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 and a dram or three of Lagavulin out back right now. :-)
