How far are you from a Costco?

Honestly, I don't like the Wal-Mart affiliation. They are depressing. Costco is more organized and they actually pay their employees enough for them to care about their jobs. Okay, that's the real reason. Craigar

The nearest is 2.5+ hours round trip without shopping time. There's a Sams 40 minutes round tip... guess which one I have a membership to? Personally I prefer Costco, better selection for things I shop there for. Sams has great deals, but usually not on anything I want, and we don't do bulk since we don't have kids. BUT, we buy enough meat and produce and random things to at least make some headway above the membership cost. If I didn't get a work discount on the membership though, I wouldn't pay retail price for the membership.

Closest Costco to me is 170 miles, that sucks. Have a Sams within a mile but never see the meat selection everyone talks about at Costco.

For me it's about 25 minutes to the nearest Costco. On the way I pass 2 Sam's Clubs, including the one just 2 miles from home. Suffice it to say I have a Sam's membership but not Costco, however I would switch if Costco opened something near me.

I can go 5.5 miles north, 5 miles east, or 4.1 miles southwest to find a Costco. The one to the east is my preferred location.

We did have one about 3 minutes away but they moved and are now 5 minutes away. So inconvenient.

Costco is about 45 minutes away, but Sam's is like 10 minutes from my house. Plus, my Sam's membership is paid for by my employer, so I go there or to a butcher shop about 20 minutes away.
