    It was cleaning day

Well, sort of …. Stacy was outside planting flowers and watering and stuff. So, I grabbed the Weber Grill Cleaner, a scratch pad, and a roll of paper towels and got after the Kettle and the Hasty-Bake ….. Dozer approves. Old man Dunkin couldn’t be bothered to check my handiwork, too busy lazing in the sun.

the Hasty-Bake needs some rust maintenance. Any recommendations on paint?

Hi temp 1200 degree paint, but more important than what type of paint or brand is the prep work. After sanding down the rough edges where it's peeled and sanding off the loose rust scale you need to kill the rust. Use a phosphoric acid product (naval jelly is one), it turns the rust to iron phosphate. Then top with a hi temp primer, then the top coat.
