Thanks, guys! I feel slightly less stupid now, having experienced almost all of the above over the years (except the rubber boot full of boiling wort ... don't know how I missed that one ).
Haven't done the boot full of wort thing, but I have filled my boot with hot caustic, spilled Nitric acid down my face and torso, and had a drum tap break and get Peracetic acid all over me. Luckily I had the wash down hose within easy reach all three times. The last two I had to basically disrobe down to my boxers & have my cellar man wash me down with the hose. There's a reason I keep an extra set of clothes at work.
