I have both and they're both great. I do love my PK and the way it holds heat with the thicker aluminum. Two other things I like about the PK are the temp control and fuel efficiency.

Yes, long stable 225 is possible. Here's a link for you. The PK quality is amazing, I was trying to decide Weber/SnS or PK360. Went to Home Depot and looked at the Weber's and they just feel like a Chinese plastic toy so I went with the PK. Not trying to slam the Weber because I know you can get great results with it, but if I were to buy one I'd look for a vintage model and restore it. In regards to the PK, wear shoes while operating, because if you drop the grill grate on your foot it's gonna do some damage. Every piece is high quality, even the boxes they shipped in could withstand being thrown off a tall building.Originally posted by Diavac View PostI too am a long time Weber guy and also considering the PK360. Looks like a very well made and USA product. My last Weber looks as though it has cheapened up, probably built offshore? Note...the link on this site's review page offers a pretty good deal to include grillegrates and charcoal box and a few other non essentials. Anybody have any experience with the PK360s ability to maintain a steady 225 temp using the installed air vents? Anybody tried using a Flame Boss or Guru on this?

I was in the exact same situation as you last year and walked into my local home depot and they had Weber Premium Kettles for $49... (150 off if I remember correctly). Needless to say, I walked out of there with a Weber and haven't looked back once. It works perfectly and is inexpensive. I just pour all my charcoal on one side, no need for an SNS if you are just searing. My last round of steaks cost more than my grilling set up and I love it. But that PK is just oh so beautiful. LOL.

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
I have 2 Weber Performers, 1 Master-Touch Weber 22" kettle, 1 26" Weber kettle and a Weber Smokey Joe. I also have the PK360 grill. Personally I would go with the Weber 22" kettle over the PK360.

One of the things that attracted me to the PK is the grill surface height. The average counter is 36", the PK is 34.2" and the Weber 27". I'm tall and really appreciate those extra inches.
The owner of the PK thinks the secret is in the sealing. Each one is inspected and modified if necessary until the seal is perfect. Ive read here about sealing issues with the Pit Barrel lid, Smoky Mountain etc. I also watched a YouTube video of a guy that has to put heavy duty office clips around his Weber Kettle lid.
How do you Weber guys feel? Should it be improved or are you happy with the seal?

I have two kettles in addition to the pk 360.
The pk is cast and ground so it seals perfectly. The 22†kettle seals perfectly but the 26†didn’t as it wasn’t perfectly round. Bent it a bit and eventually just added a gasket. No problems.
Pk is super stable as you know but the kettles with SNS can be almost as stable and run a solid 4-7 hours low and slow so it’s hard to go wrong.

I bought a used performer and the seal is fine. I bought a new 26†and the seal is nearly perfect only leaks when the smoke is heavy. I’m guessing over time it will get better. To me it’s part of the personality of the cooker. My PBC is so well used I can lift the whole barrel by the lid without it coming off at times.

I do want to get a Weber eventually (everyone should have one right?). This vintage one is on sale right now on ebay and I was thinking about it until I realized shipping is $150.00! I guess I'll have to wait for the right estate or garage sale. Right now the total price would be $480 which is a little steep and it's auction so might go up more. That copper mist color looks nice.
It has 3 separate intakes on the bottom (9 holes total) so am not sure if that's good or bad compared to the new ones. I like how the PK intake is directly below the coals and I guess you can do the same with this model.
