Hi guys. I have been hunting Craigslist for the last month trying to find a used performer. Came close to a barely used 2011 black one (without the starter) for $125 but the seller backed out at the last minute. This one looks pre '09 era, also barely used, with the starter. I have negotiated down to $175 from 225 but I was hoping to be closer to $150. Do you guys think this grill is worth $175? I am getting antsy and my new SNS has been in the box too long!

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.

That grill, in that color, and that condition, is a SCREAMING HOT DEAL! Better buy it before the owners come to their senses.

Weber grills last a long time, so it seems to me if you can get one in good condition for less than half the prIce of a new one you have a pretty good deal. That doesn't apply to everything used, but it does apply things have a long life. You could think of it this way - if you can get ten ears out of it that is $17.50 a year.

Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
I passed on one for $75 last year because I couldn't get a truck to pick it up from 50 miles away, and it just seemed suspiciously cheap. They go for about $150 around here, give or take.
