Well, I kinda just got my "new cooker" recently. I traded my Weber Summit Charcoal for a Primo XL on custom cart. So yeah, I'm still in the "kid at Christmas" excitement stage. I am pretty set on cookers, but at some point would like to purchase an offset rig so I can get back into catering/competitions.
The new D2 Traegers are nice. I had a Pro 575 for 3 months, really liked it but temps were way off. It was a widespread issue and they fixed it the morning after I returned mine with a firmware update. Ironwood is even nicer with no stack, more grate space and more double wall construction.
glitchy I have to agree with u , the D2 are nice . In Wpg , the pro 575 sells for
$ 1099.99 Canadian and the 650 sells for $1599.00 . During the summer I was at one of the Traeger Shop Class put on by Danielle "DIVA Q" Bennett . I was really
impressed with the flavour of the food . When I got home , I told the wife , I got to get me one of those smokers . I will probably buy one early in the spring if not sooner .
Started Low-N-Slow BBQ in 2012. Obviously, it's taken hold (in chronological order:
1.) A pair of Weber Smokey Mountain 22.5's
2.) #LilTex, a 22" Expensive Offset Smoker (looks like a Yoder Witicha)
3.) #WhoDat1, a HUGE Gravity Fed Insulated Cabinet Smoker (cooking chamber 3'x2'x6')
4.) A Full Size Commercial Dryer/converted to Vertical Smoker.
5.) Jambo Backyard stickburner (my FAVORITE Pit so far)
6.) GrillMeister, a huge 24"x48" Adjustable, Charcoal Grill from Pitmaker.com
7.) 22" Weber Kettle with Slow-N-Sear
8.) Vault insulated reverse-flow cabinet smoker from Pitmaker
9.) BarbecueFiretruck...under development
10.) 26 foot BBQ Vending Trailer equipped with HUGE Myron Mixon 72xc smoker is HERE, Oct 2016!
11.) Opened www.PaulsRibShackBarbecue.com Food Trailer officially in March 2017
12.) Austin Smoke Works 500 Gallon Propane Tank Offset Smoker, named "Lucille" as travel pit for PaulsRibShack, Oct 2018.
12.) Opening Brick & Mortar location at 4800 Nelson Rd, Spring 2019. Had a pair of 1,000 Gallon Austin Smoke Works pits, both in RibShackRed for our new place!
Fabulous Backlit Thermapens, several Maverick Remote Thermometers (don't use any remotes anymore), Thermoworks Smoke, Other Thermoworks toys, Vacuum sealer, lots and lots of equipment...
I'm loving using BBQ to make friends and build connections.
I have #theRibList where I keep a list of new and old friends and whenever I'm cooking, I make 1 to 20 extra and share the joy.
I'm happy with my current lineup: Weber gas grill, Weber kettle and Camp Chef pellet cooker. I bought the kettle last year when I needed to add some smoker capacity for a big cook. I don't need the kettle anymore but it's fun to either grill steaks or do some smoking as an alternate method to my other cookers.
When my Camp Chef eventually dies, I want a Yoder YS640. But in all honesty my frugality will probably win out and I'll buy another Camp Chef or similarly priced pellet cooker. Or I may convince myself that the kettle is enough and I don't need to replace the pellet cooker.
I have a Hasty Bake and a Blackstone Griddle. I am thrilled with this setup. I would say that if I did not have the HB, I would seriously consider Dave’s Adrenaline Kamado especially if they come out with a larger size. But I love the Hasty Bake.

For me, it would be either an M1 or a LSG 20x36 offset. Man, both are nice and offer both smoking and grilling options In The same cooker.
Price me is and isn’t a factor. The "is" part is if I want to spend that on a cooker and would I really be able to use the cooker as much as I want to justify the cost. That’s my dilemma.
I love my Weber kettle, though. And plan on using it more in the coming months.
