The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

the good one grill

The Good-One Open Range is a charcoal grill with an offset smoke chamber attached. It is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. The grill sits low in front and doubles as a firebox for the smoke chamber which is spliced on above and behind so it can work like a horizontal offset smoker only better. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker

Griddle And Deep Fryer All In One

The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all. Plus it has a built in cutting board, garbage bag holder, and paper towel holder. An additional work table on the left side provides plenty of counter space.

Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It is absolutely positively without a doubt the best bargain on a smoker in the world. Period. This baby will cook circles around the cheap offset sideways barrel smokers in the hardware stores because temperature control is so much easier. Best of all, it is only 9 delivered to your door!

The Swiss Army Knife Of Thermometers

Placeholder

The smart folks at ThermoWorks have finally done it: The Swiss Army Knife of thermometers, two in one. Start with the industry standard food thermometer, the Thermapen MK4, (Platinum Medal winner) truly instant (2 to 3 seconds) precise (+ or – 0.7°F). Then they built in an infrared thermometer ideal for measuring the temps of pizza stones, griddles, and frying pans (also great for finding leaks around doors and windows in your house).

Professional Steakhouse Knife Set

masterbuilt gas smoker

Our founder, Meathead, wanted the same steak knives used by steakhouses such as Peter Luger, Smith & Wollensky, Morton's, Kobe Club, Palm, and many others. The beefy hardwood handle provides a comfortable grip secured by three hefty rivets. He has machine washed his more than 100 times. They have never rusted and they stay shiny without polishing. Please note that we do not make, sell, or distribute these knives, they just engrave them with our name.

Bragging thread - Awesome Grill or Smoker deals found out in the Wild

Over the weekend I snagged this unbelievable deal at the local 201 Central (Wine store). It made me wonder what other deals folks may have found lately. We want to hear about it! If it's clearance and you got the last one like this BGE I scored just stop by to brag. If it's a sale of more than one and you can share the deal, please do! (Note - This thread is for consumers only. No retailers advertising their own wares)

Everything in this pic was included in the price.

And it's definitely small compared to my Akorn, but I'll use this mainly for cooking side dishes and searing a steak or two, so the size works just fine.

I'd bake some bread on that little ceramic oven... You would need to elevate a small baking stone above the felt line though.

It didn't come with the PS, which I think should be standard equipment. I'm definitely getting one, probably this week. cdd315 how would you use a small BGE?

Pit Boss like you said above, I would use it for sides and steaks. It would be perfect for baking potatoes, french fries (in a basket), corn and grilled vegetables. I'd find a pizza stone (I've seen 9") and make individual pizza's. I'd bake bread. Baked beans in a Dutch Oven. Anything else you can think of in a Dutch Oven. I would use it for roasts .. and chicken pieces or an upright chicken. Mainly though I would use it for cooking when my main cooker is busy doing something else. I'd use it even if I only need to cook something for a short while .. the good thing is you can snuff the fire out and use the left over coals next time you light it.

Ceramic cookers are efficient coal burners. I'd be interested in how long a small BGE like yours can burn a full load at 225F! I would think it could do a pork butt from start to finish, but IDK.

Have fun with it and I look forward to seeing what you use it for. Show lots of pictures

Pit Boss, you're the smartest Pit Boss of all the Pit Bosses I know. You like med-rare steaks, bold red wines, roasted Brussels sprouts, copper kettles, and American Honey and Maker's 46 mixed. I think those are the 5 main check boxes on both the smart and cool lists.
