6 outdoor cookers in total, not counting the various inserts and add-ons.
3-4 depending on what is being cooked, the quantity, and how lazy I feel.
1-2 could leave. It would be the electric smoker that was a compromise to allow for cooking during fire bans or the really bad gasser..
1-2 would most definitely up grade the gasser to the Blaze cart if I get to ever be able to claim 1st prize, but I would probably have to upgrade the electric to something like the Masterbuilt thermotemp XL if it went away

        Questions:
        1. How many cookers do you have?

PK360, Lang 48 in patio deluxe, Blackstone 28 in griddle, Ooni 12 in pizza oven (4)

        2. How many do you normally use?

        All of them.

        3. If forced to give up a cooker, which one would leave the stable?

I gave up cooking on a gas grill when my last one died.

        Bonus Question:
What is your next cooker or which cooker would you like to upgrade/replace? (Weber & Gaby for a real Santa Maria (Titan?? LSG??)

        Pellet cooker

See, this is a spread I can get behind. Each of those has a distinct use. I never have understood the people with multiples of the same cooker (I mean 3+, I can see having, say, 2 kettles for larger groups etc)

        1. I currently have 5.
        22 Kettle
        Smokey Joe
        PBC
        OJB
        Blackstone griddle / grill combo

        2. I use 3 regularly
        22 Kettle
        PBC
        OJB

*Smokey Joe is still in the box
*Blackstone needs parts, so just sitting for now.

        3. I'm considering getting rid of the Blackstone

        4. Maybe a gasser with or without a griddle insert.
I would like to try cooking on an offset sometime just to experience it, but not sure I'd put money out for one just for a whim

          1. Large BGE, Weber Genesis
          2. Use both frequently
          3. Can't imagine parting with either, but, if had to, the Weber
          4. Would add a Pellet, maybe a RecTec (would have to look into particular brand/model first)
          Would not replace anything!

            Feeling like a slacker:

I have 3 (MAK 2 Star, Napoleon 500 Pro gasser, 2 burner Pit Boss Ultimate griddle).

I use all 3 - "regularly" is a subjective thing. I know I use my kitchen oven and range top more than any of the outside cookers.

I would love an Ooni 16" pizza oven, and a charcoal cooker like a PK360 or the SNS kettle.

Mostly I would love that my bones and joints would stop collapsing like wet spaghetti so I can enjoy the ones I have much more often. Sniff-sniff....

              1. How many cookers do you have? 5 (SNS Kamado, Camp Chef Griddle, Weber Genesis, Weber Performer, Offset), if you don't count things like Coleman stoves (1), turkey fryer burners (2) or other outdoor burner stands (1 dual burner).

              2. How many do you normally use? 4 of the grills, but 2 the most (SNS Kamado and the griddle). I rarely use the offset anymore. I use the dual burner stand monthly for brewing beer.

              3. If forced to give up a cooker, which one would leave the stable? Offset. I just don't have the patience to deal with it for longer than a rib or turkey cook anymore. Plus it's not the best offset - something my dad designed and had one of his welders put together back in the mid 80's as customer gifts. It's stainless, and is still going strong, but the firebox design is bad (too small).

              Bonus Question:
What is your next cooker or which cooker would you like to upgrade/replace? I think I would get a drum/barrel smoker or a WSM 22. Realistically though, not gonna happen.

Comment: At one point I had 9 grills in the backyard for a year or two, before 3 left for my kids houses, and I gave a kettle away to a former coworker!

                1) 5 -- Bronco, BK gasser; Weber Kettle; MES electric that's never been used (picked up a cheap floor model a while back); turkey fryer/deep fryer (we also have a couple small/portable charcoal grills and one gasser for camping that I'm not counting since they aren't intended to be used around the house and an off-brand kettle that the former owners of our house abandoned that's never been used either)
                2) 3, the first 3
                3) Easy call, the MES
Bonus: I really want a flat top and some sort of Kamado (Primo XL) for cold weather cooking and a 26 inch kettle. If force to choose, I guess it would be one of those Pit Boss ceramic topped griddles.

                  1) 4 smokey joe, Yoder 640, LSG large insulated cabinet, 48" LSG Santa Maria
                  2) 3
                  3) none, zero, nada
                  4) need more space to get more!

                    1) - 8 (Fire Magic Gasser, BGE, PBC, Dyna Glo propane, Weber Kettle, DIY warm smoker, Smokey Joe, Garcima paella burner)
                    2) - Pretty much the order above.
                    3) - Paella burner, now use BGE for paella cooks.

Bonus: Trying to decide between Pellet Pro and Pit Boss vertical pellet smokers

I went with the Oakford, NexGrill Vertical Pellet and happy with it esp. considering the price.

Bad Hat BBQ I looked at the Nexgrill vertical too. The Nexgrill web site was completely non-nourishing, but in the Home Depot Q&A, they said it can hold 130ºF. That's one of my wants so that I can use it as a warm smoker for sausage, jerky, peppers, etc. The others lowest is 150ºF. I emailed their website and asked if it can actually smoke at 130º and was ignored. If I could confirm that it can really hold 130º, that would be a game changer. The price point is certainly attractive.

                    1) Six (6) - PBC, WSCG, Summit Gasser, Weber 22" Kettle, GMG Trek, Grilla Wood Pellet Smoker Grill, Cookshack Smokette.

                    2) Most used - WSCG, Grilla, PBC

                    3) I would most likely part company with the Cookshack. The electric smoke profile isn't as good as the others. I rarely use it anymore but it is my first smoker and was a gift from the wife so it is hard to think of parting with it.

                    4) Have fun!

                        1. How many cookers do you have? 16....but in my mind 13. I don't really count the burner, camp stove and griddle.

                        2. How many do you normally use? 6.

                        3. If forced to give up a cooker, which one would leave the stable? Either the 22" or 18" WSM.

                        Bonus Question:
What is your next cooker or which cooker would you like to upgrade/replace? None. The only cooker I don't have is a pellet pooper and I will never buy one. I like buying attachments for my cookers, but I've about maxed out on that too.

decided I will pay full price n have it delivered rather than buying a used ceramic n packin it my damn self.
Hell yeah I regret it but I'm way more wobbly than I used to be.

                          Then wouldnt you know, I am driving down the road and I spy a box for a charcoal grill sitting by the road and it is not garbage day.                             As I commented in another post, I actually spent the fall and winter months assessing my inventory and where exactly I was heading with my cooking needs. I came to the conclusion that I don't smoke a lot of big pieces of meat any longer (getting to be empty nesters) and grilling over live fire is a new passion. So, I essentially sold 5 of my eight, here's what's left;

                            1. Weber 26" kettle w/SNS & Vortex, 18" WSM tricked out, Weber Summit gasser
                            2. All three
                            3. Done with the purge so 0

I will mention that the proceeds from the sale of the other 5 went to the purchase of a new Pitts & Spitts flattop cooker that I'll be showing off later this summer. The evolution of my cooking is and will always change, so will my cookers. Instead of letting them sit around gathering rust, I like to recycle and re-tool. I finally came to that conclusion after cooking on almost nothing other than my 26" Weber kettle for an entire year. You'd be surprised what you can do with less and not more.

It's not about the cooker but the cookie...Harry Soo.

I remember you talking about using mostly just the kettle for a year. Look like that year paid off in declutter of your patio...

I would get rid of my offset if I thought someone wanted it, and if it hadn't been built by my dad back in the 80's, and come off his patio. It's worth more as scrap 304SS than as a smoker to be honest. I still use it once in a while for nostalgia's sake. Like every 12 to 18 months...

I also recently did some cooks on my Weber Performer, after hitting that SNS Kamado hard the past couple of years, and have come to realize that the kettle is much faster to get to temp, and faster to cool down, and can cook all the same stuff as the kamado...

Continuing your comment, jfmorris , Kathryn-style:

...unless it's a WSCGC which comes up to temp pretty fast and calms right down in the case of a temp overshoot and you get to use the entire grate space when in kamado mode. I like my kettle, but I love my WSCGC.

That said, it all comes down to what you enjoy using the most. I use the kettle a lot but I really enjoy cooking on the WSCGC in both kettle and kamado modes.

                              Just my 2 pennies' worth.
