The ok today driving back from Tuxtla Gutiérrez to Villahermosa we stopped in the bank of a big river at a place with a delightful smell. It was the wood. But the fish was excellent. I asked about the wood and tried Wikipedia. It is a fruit wood and makes the best aroma smoke. Amazing.

yrsonima crassifolia is a species of flowering plant bearing fruit in the acerola family, Malpighiaceae, that is native to tropicalAmerica. Common names include changunga, muruçi, nanche, nance, chacunga, craboo, kraabu, savanna serrette (or savanna serret) and golden spoon. In Jamaica it is called hogberry (plural hogberries).
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.
