Honoring our BBQ brethren who have crossed over the BBQ bridge.

It’s hard to believe it’s been four years since the tragic passing of our dear friend Mr. Bones. The legend who brought this cook about. As time has gone by, the tribute has expanded to include all of our cherished departed family members.

Some may not have gotten the privilege of knowing these wonderful people, others have fond memories of them. Either way, please one and all, join us in celebrating their lives and the contributions they have made to our fine community. Throughout the weekend of this tribute, we would love for you to share any of your memories of these amazing gentlemen.

WHEN: March 20-22 2026

WHAT: Although the title says “Bones”, feel free to contribute whatever your heart desires to cook. Anything from baby back ribs to mashed potatoes to lemon meringue pie. It’s all good.

“These Bones Are For You” Memorial Cook is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of life, a tribute to friendship, a reminder of the bonds that unite us. As we smoke for this Memorial Cook, we carry with us the memories filled with love, laughter and the irresistible aroma of what binds us together, BBQ. Our friends may be gone, but they will never be forgotten. And their spirit will always be part of our BBQ community.

So raise a Bone, glass, spoon or fork on this special weekend in March to show your love and respect to our beloved family and friends.

I can't cook, plate or take pictures like Ernest, or wax on poetically like Mr. Bones. And I certainly can't bring the humor like many of the other could, but I'll give it my best shot knowing that any one of our departed friends would approve of whatever ends up on the plate. Or at the very least they would have the kindness to keep their criticism to themselves. They were the giants who's shoulders we now stand on.
