Thank you for that information, aladdin4d . You saved us doing the work. It looks like getting and induction option that would get close to the 30,000 BTU burners on my Camp Chef outdoor gas range, I'd have to have a 240V outdoor circuit available.
Frying (and wok-ing) on those 30,000 BTU burners on my Camp Chef Somerset IV is such a pleasure. Great heat output for a CI 5 to 6 qt dutch oven with more to spare if needed.
That said, I did fry with my dutch oven on my gasser as Meathead suggested in his article, and the frying there was pretty efficient as well. So if anyone has a gasser, I recommend you give frying there a try before purchasing something else to do the job.
