Well, I guess I'm not selling it and I've added some new toys to it.
I got the kick ash basket and stainless grate for it.
I'm VERY pleased with the kick ash basket. It fits well and the charcoal divider does it's job extremely well. It would be cool if they had an attachment to do the divider long ways too as that's how you can do things like ribs indirect on the cooker, but it's a rare cook where I do that and manually stacking coals 1 or 2 times a year is fine vs having a divider.
The stainless grate on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn't fit perfect. It REALLY needs the charcoal side to be hinged to top up coals as the only time you'd be using the divider in the basket is for longer cooks. I did reach out to them to see if I'm using it wrong or something. It does fit better upside down with the welded bits helping secure the grate but then there's a rod going down the middle. I get the stock cast grate is made to flip but it's to raise or lower the proteins a few centimeters. With the stainless it really doesn't matter.

The gloves are actually pretty good - better than latex gloves and it's a nice gift. Dividing the charcoal the long way would not work because of the air flow. The airflow needs to enter from one side at the bottom and exhaust out of the top on the other side for two zone cooking.Comment
