Lump or hard wood on WSM

Alright, I'm using Kingsford Blue ... Although about to try Kingsford Professional thanks to David Parrish ... Anyhow is anyone using lump or wood/stick on their WSM? If so, how does that compare to briquettes?

If you can find hardwood briquettes them things rock but can be hard to find. What gives me 8 hours in a kettle with Kingsford blue I get 15+ hours with a hardwood briquette.

Hardwood briquettes? Like give me a brand and I will go find it. Bear in mind that a 15 lb bag of KBB will give me a 12+ hour cook on a WSM. 18.6 lb bag will give me a 14-16 hour cook on a WSM.

ecowper you're talking about a whole bag. He's talking about one Weber chimney full.

B & B Hardwood Briquettes. They produce less ash than Kingsford.

Okay, will find some and try them out. My local hardware store carries some unusual stuff in terms of grilling, charcoal, etc. I bet I can get them to stock it.

Found 'em on the web. I could order a pallet. Think my wife would mind a pallet of charcoal on the driveway?
