Smoky Mountain as a Thanksgiving Oven?
I'm having 12 people over for Thanksgiving dinner, and have only one oven. Rather than doing a large turkey, I'm going with two 12-14 pounders, one on my Weber Gas Grill and one in the oven; first time grilling a turkey. My challenge is always how to get all the sides cooked after the turkey comes out, and I was wondering if it would work to use the Smoky Mountain as a second oven. No wood, get it going with the vents open to 350 and oven away. Seems like it would work, but wanted to make sure I've thought it through.Tags: None
