Just an FYI here. If anyone reading this is considering getting the OJB, it’s almost $100. more on Amazon than Academy or Lowe’s. Cheapest price on Amazon was $397. VS $299. at Lowe’s or Academy.
On the Oklahoma Joe site it’s $299 but they charge $150 for shipping. So $449 there. So the Amazon price is sort of a deal compared to buying directly from the manufacturer. Clearly pick up at Lowes is the way to go.

Get the standard size PBC, you'll always want extra room if you don't. I use my hinged grate all the time and the ash pan, those along with some extra hooks is all you need. I also put a gasket around the lid and i think it has helped with temps.
This thing cooks ribs, butts and chicken like crazy IMO. I usually just split my chickens in half and hang.
Panhead John why don't you just get a SNS for the kettle at your mom's house? At $60, its a lot cheaper than a PBC!
EDIT: I see you ordered the OJ Bronco. Good choice! I personally would have put that at YOUR house, and moved the WSM to the mother's.... you are going to like it and want to be using it more often rather than less often.

Thanks jfmorris After I use it a few times, that’s always a possibility (moving OJB to my house) Here’s my situation though. My WSM is the small one, 14â€. I can’t fit a full packer brisket on it, unless I cut it in half and use the lower grate also. Don’t wanna do that. And I’m always cooking for just me here at home. Full packer is way too much for me. At Mom’s I can do a bigger cook with the OJB and feed a few of her neighbors as well. She’s got great neighbors who help her out occasionally
I also thought about the SnS for the 22†Kettle, but I wanted to try the PBC, and see what all the hoopla was about. Then that led me to the OJB, courtesy of Uncle Bob.
