I got mine today as well after I all but forgot about it. I can’t believe that worked. I almost feel guilty

My cardiologist allows me bacon, butter, and eggs… but nixed potatoes, pasta, white rice, and bread (including pizza dough). So, although I would dearly like to try my hand at this, no pizza ovens are in my future. (It’s the triglycerides. I’m down about 70 points, but still have 50 to go.)

UPDATE: Now has estimated delivery on Saturday. I guess I'll be doing pizza sometime in the near future.

Here in PA those are local brands. Delallo’s started in Pittsburgh in the ‘50s. When I was a kid my family used to go to the Store on Rt51, it was all deli meats, cheeses, charcuterie, olives pickles etc. That was 50-60 years ago, it’s more mass market now, but I anticipate everything being solid quality. I’ve had the pizza sauce within the last 6 months, it’s good, I’d buy it again. And when faced with a choice of unknowns, I’ve chosen DeLallo products specifically because I trust the brand.

I have to say, when I posted this deal I thought it was a longshot. When it went a few weeks with no contact, I wasn’t surprised. And when I sent them an email and got back, “Naw, man, you ain’t gettin’ nuthin’,” I was sure it was dead.

It’s nice to get a jar of basil pesto, isn’t it? I’ve made fresh, and it’s great, but it also lasts about 24-36 hours, is a lot of work, and it’s expensive as hell. Jarred isn’t as good, but it costs less and it lasts.

I did follow-up with an email to Joanna. Here's what I wrote.

Hi Joanna, I know you said this was a mistake and was a promo with a stove purchase. As I noted previously it wasn't presented in those terms. It looks like Stoke had realized the error. I and the other Pitmaster Club members are receiving theirs. I received mine today.
I want to thank you and whomever made good on the offer. I'm looking forward to using to make a pizza.
