    Why don’t we all [the people who got in on the freebie] email them today and see if anyone hears back from them? I think they got in over their heads and can’t handle all the orders. I’m betting we don’t hear anything else from them.

    You know, it wouldn’t bother me if they screwed up and can’t honor it, but please, SAY SO. The only thing they can do wrong is radio silence.

      I received a response sort of. Joanna responded thanking me for my email. But she had a problem with the message. So I resent with a bit more clearly not that it needed it IMO. We'll see what is next.

        I received another response and have copied it below. Bottom line, we're not going to get a free kit unless you bought an oven.

        Thanks for getting back to us. This order is for free Delallo kits, looks like this was an error as these have not been a part of our shop and are send directly from Delallo to those customers that order an oven.

        So this means I will not be getting the kit because I didn't order an oven? If so, your offer was extremely mis leading as there was no requirement for payment information. How do you order an oven without payment information? There was no indication of the purchase requirement in your communications. Someone might want to talk to someone in your marketing department. They screwed up big time.

        To be fair, it probably IS related to a "free with oven purchase" promotion, and that listing was the easiest way for them to make it happen.

        That said, it likely would have been better with some add't verbiage OR kept at a normal price and discounted to $0 via a one-time-use promo code that is sent with a purchased oven.

        It wouldn't be the first time that an online programming mistake on a store resulted in refunded/refused purchases. It potentially is even mentioned on a visitor agreement/disclaimer regarding pricing mistakes.

          It is being offered as a promo right now, but an oven and get $100 discount plus a free pizza kit. But I don’t want a pizza oven, so this isn’t for me,

          Well, right now I have, in the fridge & pantry, a nice stick of hard pepperoni (the kind that cups when it cooks), a jar of pizza sauce, a pound of mozzarella (full moisture, full fat), and the makings for dough. So, pizza kit or no pizza kit, I’m set.

                I received another useless reponse. I made it clear this my last. I do say, I've had fun.


                I don't know what else to share with you. Stoke made the offer. I shared the order # 3472. The confirmation is in this thread. If you people can't figure this out I don't know what to say. Oh yea, I will never do business with Stoke. I don't know if I mentioned it, I am a member of amazingribs.com Pitmaster Club which is the # 1 BBQ website globally. It was one of our members who had led us to this bogus offer. They have asked for your email Joanna. I gave them this email address. I know most who applied for your bogus offer have not had any response from Stoke or a response to their inquiries. Oh BTW the holidays are over. So if you are not a robot, update your signature. You are dealing with a person who has been in a high performance business at an executive level for many years. I'm done. No more responses to your ill informed, incompetent company.​
