So My Inkbird INK-VS01 finally kicked the bucket. Lookin for something similar in the $60 range . I only use sealer bags but if it's got suction attachment for like jars that's good too. Is there an inkbird rep here for any kind discounts. i didn't see any anywhere but the sites big lol. Anyone have any suggestions?

PJ also has a nice one that is cheaper.
I’m a little late to all the vacuum sealer discussions going around lately, but that’s what inspired me to get one. Thanks a lot people…😡 I’m beginning to believe if I hang out here much longer I will die penniless. I’ve got an old Food Saver brand I quit using several years ago for whatever reasons. I’ve had 2 different ones

That is the one I have. Just recently stopped working. Got with CR all they asked was the usual, is it plugged in? Do you hear sound, Is the open end of the bag fully in the slot?
Next they asked for proper receipts Then two days later I had a new unit.
Excellent Customer Service.
Prolly used the old one a cpl years. PJ tells me, 5 year Warrty.

I also recently upgraded my sealer to the Nesco unit - almost identical features to the one PJ got, except it also has an option to do a double-seal, which is handy for very wet contents. Here's a link to my post in the long thread about mine and the convo PJ and I had about the two models - they are very very similar and either would surely be great. I absolutely love this Nesco unit, it has been great, super easy to use and 100% reliable thus far. You do get what you pay for in a sealer, so I would avoid the el cheapo models for sure. My first one, from Meat! Your Maker, was all plastic parts and it just could not hold up.

negolien This looks like an incredible deal for the price! It has bag storage and a built in cutter, 2 features you definitely want. And it also double seals?! I can’t believe it’s only $36.

I'm having a similar problem as Skip. Hearing how much fzxdoc likes her chamber unit makes we want to get one now. but my clam shell unit is still working just fine. But I could save money using the cheaper bags, so its not like I'm spending money, I'm investing it right? You people are horrible on my bank account with all the "investing" you talk me into.

Panhead John many years ago I had a chance to get one twice that size for nothing. The place I worked at was scraping it out. It worked fine but it was a bugger to find parts for and they wanted a bigger one that could handle 75# bags of cheese instead of 50#. It's probably still sitting out in the boneyard. Maybe I should go check. 😂

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I don't think you can beat that one you linked to for $33.95.
I have a FoodSavr one that I will replace with something else if/when it dies. It's lasted me 7-8 years so far. The main complaint I have with any of the ones like mine, or the Avid Armor you linked, is that most of the big rolls of vacuum bags I buy off Amazon do NOT fit inside the machine's internal roll area, so I find myself cutting bag material with scissors until the roll is small enough to fit inside the unit.

Mine holds rolls up to 20 feet long, as do most of them I assume. Why not just buy smaller rolls?

Love my chamber sealer. Not only can it do things that a clamshell can't, and uses cheaper bags, because it can pull a much stronger vacuum, frozen foods last much longer. Thicker bags are also an option.

I have a Avid Armor model A420. Love it! Great vacuum pump. Had a Food Saver before and the pump was not as strong. $300 but it is has been out of stock for a few months. Was going to get one for our niece, as soon as they are back in stock. @Skip maybe correct that the model is being discounted for a new model, AVS2400 is not on the Avid Armor website.
