    Made In Carbon Steel

Well, as you know from an earlier post, I bought a set of Made In Stainless cookware, plus a couple carbon steel items. Everything from the order has been arriving over the last couple days. The thing that arrived tonight was the Made In 12” carbon steel pan. … holy schnikey this is an amazing pan. I seasoned per their stove top directions with canola oil. I did that twice after scrubbing with hot water and mild dish soap. Then I cooked some bacon in it. Very successfully. Tomorrow night I plan on cooking a couple strip steaks … yum

I have that pan and the 14 in. wok. They are terrific pans. I did buy one of those chain mail scrubbers, it does a great job.

I have the 14 inch wok, too. Haven't had the chance to do anything with the wok, yet

Very nice. I'm a big fan of carbon steel too, got myself a DeBuyer 1.5 years ago. Very reasonably priced, and will last me a lifetime.

I bought a Baking Steel one about a year or so ago. It's actually a DeBuyer.
        I love the pan!

That's a great looking pan, and isn't it funny that we are a group of guys and gals who get super stoked about pots and pans?

I'd like to get one. The same material as some flat top grills (griddles), very user friendly cooking surface in my opinion. Thanks for the good mini review.

I'm craving a Made In saucier! Don't have a pan like this and I can see it being very useful. But I was at Walmart yesterday and really liked a SS canning pot (with rack) for $25. I slapped my hand away making the promise to send pans to Salvation Army before I buy any new ones.

C’mon, pans are like smokers, you can always use another one just in case.

Naw. She's right. Before I bought my Tramontina set I went through the cabinets and got rid of anything I didn't use. The only things I ended up keeping were some 3 qt. and smaller sauce pans and a couple stockpots.

          Nice.
I joined the carbon steel game about a year or two ago. They get used more than my cast iron.
          You're gonna love it

I have the same pan, also the 10" one. I like them so much that I just bought another 12" & 10" to take to our vacation house.
