FireBoard Beacon?

Any idea on what the FireBoard Beacon is? I just updated the iOS FireBoard app and the notes say “Support for FireBoard Beacon”. Google says maybe a wireless probe, but nothing seems confirmed.

Wireless sensor…not wireless probe. For freezers, humidors, your house, etc.

Dang! I was hoping for a wireless probe from them. Oh well, at least my Combustion Inc probes work great (unless I leave the house!).

The beacon looks helpful as well. Especially since my NEW fridge was warm the other day. No idea what happened there, but it pisses me off. More meat lost, more eggs lost etc. They just do not make things like they used too. Everything is junk, designed and made for the landfill. (Lo Siento)

Looking forward to the wireless probes when they come out. That will be a major upgrade. I am sure I will have to upgrade to the FB 2 though, now that I think of it.

Was it LG? I bought a LG when my Kenmore Elite took a dump in 2021. When the boat was clogging the Suez Canal and covid supply chain issues were already bad WITHOUT the damn canal getting clogged. Pretty much a terrible time to buy anything. But I went to a Lowes Outlet and what they had on the floor could be delivered next day. It is a "nice" one, bottom freezer, french doors, TWO ice makers (one makes 2 inch ball ice) and so on. The compressor took a crap and was relaced in a few months...

Man, my sincere condolences on the lost meat and such. That’s a heartbreaker.
I bought this thermoworks one maybe two-three years ago and before I received it I bought a different one that was wireless. Returning it was half its price so I held onto it. I like the wireless one a lot but if you just need something you can have this one, just let me know. It’s brand new & never been used, as in never opened from its factory packaging.
