Last year I purchased a used Summit E6. The guy said he didn’t use it often enough so I got it for $800. I have a problem with the casters though. Well, not the casters, but the inserts that the casters slide into. The casters are pretty sturdy, but the insert is a cheap piece of ribbed plastic. Two of mine have collapsed, and the wheels are all wonky. I really think this a poor design choice on Weber’s part. They could have used casters that sit directly under the legs, or made a better insert for them.
My Summit is 15 years old and I recently saw that one caster looks a bit tilted. I never move the grill, it's always been in the same place. I would just send a polite note to Weber and maybe they will send you some inserts. Unfortunately today too many items are being converted to plastic, especially on vehicles, which really should be metal. Cost reductions not quality.
