I'm interested in buying a Weber Summit Kamado but I don't want to shell out the money until I see one in person. I've been unable to find one in the Atlanta/Athens GA area and Weber customer service is no help.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Where to look, who to call etc. etc.?
After a google search, I found some at an Ace Hardware in Tucker, Georgia. Is that close by? Free assembly and delivery, don’t know how far they deliver.
Your link just indicates that they can ship one to the store, not that they have one in stock. It would be wise to call beforehand to see if they actually have one on the floor before one makes the trek to that store.
Higher end Weber dealers usually carry them. Patio and BBQ stores, larger ACE dealers, etc. Seems like there’s a big BBQ store in Atlanta, but I cannot recall the name.
Baby Back Maniac has a great review of the Weber Summit Kamado which be helpful if your still on the fence about buying one.
I own one and can highly recommend it.

There are a few folks here that own these and if you read some of the threads or ask questions they can likely help you out.

Welcome to The Pit. I bought my Weber Summit Charcoal Grilling Center right after they first came out. It's one heckuva cooker. Rock solid temps, nice sized grate (your 22" kettle will look so small next to it), and so much fun to cook on. Turns out delicious food in both kettle and kamado modes.
I bought mine (I call him Mr. Fancypants) from a store in an adjoining state and had him assembled and delivered right to my deck. Best assemble/delivery money I ever spent.

As others have said, if you want to see one in person, you’re probably going to have a bit of a search for bigger Ace stores or specialist BBQ/patio stores.
I’ve had my Weber Summit Charcoal Grill Center (WSCGC…even the initials sound pretentious) for several years now. As a grill, it’s outstanding with lots of real estate to use. As a kamado, it’s awesome. As a smoker…well, it prompted me to give away my 22” WSM.
Yes, it’s a bit spendy…but in the same ballpark as many ceramic cookers. With the added benefit of mobility
