Attjack Yes it is one solid piece as compared to the segments they use for most cookers. It's also heavier material and has more ridges per inch, so the standard GG tool won't fit. I found all these things to work fine for my situation.

fzxdoc It just made so much sense to have to pair with my SNS low profile. I plan to use it flat side up most of the time for searing. I haven't got a chance to use it yet, but I grabbed some flanken cut short ribs this week that would be perfect for it. I'm fighting Murphy's Law for the past week solid, so not as much time to grill as I hoped.

I use half a Grate upside down when doing just one ribeye on the WSJ. I think it burns a little hotter with the increased airflow but I've not verified this with my ThermoWorks infrared gun.

N227GB I think flat side up is best for most searing applications. A lot of people like grill marks though, so it really just depends on personal preference. I tend to use rails up if I'm cooking for company and flat side up if it's just me.

I just ordered one of these for my WSCGC on Grill Grate's Prime Sale, 25% off everything in the store.
I had to speak with customer service to order the right thing for my 24" Summit Charcoal product. I wanted the largest Half Moon available, which turns out to be the Half Moon Grate listed for the Napoleon 22" grill. Its dimensions are 21" at its widest and 9 3/4" long (edge to center). It lists now for $100 which goes down to $75 with the PRIME discount.
Not to confuse the issue, but the one listed for 22" for Kettles, Barrels, and Drums is supposed to be the exact same dimensions as that for the Napoleon 22" grill, but it currently lists for $107.99 and its listed dimensions are not correct, the rep said.
Before placing the order for the Napoleon Pro Half Moon, I called GG Customer Service back to verify that the dimensions for both are 21" at its widest and 9.75" deep. She actually went to the shop to measure and then came back to the phone. They are the same product with the same SKU, the GG rep says, but somehow the price is different on the site for the Napoleon Pro and the one for Barrels, Kettles, and Drums. She told me to go ahead and order the one for the Napoleon because it is cheaper for the exact same product.
I measured my WSGCG and the 21" wide Half Moon will fit it perfectly. It looks identical to the one that Rokfather purchased, shown in the OP (I counted the exposed # of grates to be sure).
So with tax it all came out to $80.05 with free shipping. I'm excited to get it. I never did like the sectioned one I originally purchased for the Summit because it was too skinny to get a couple of steaks on it. The larger Half Moon design makes better sense, because it covers the SnS Low Profile almost exactly.

I have in the past used my full set of Grillgrates on the 22" kettle and SNS kamado a lot, but only if I wanted to do a big cook, and have a 1 zone setup. It lets you fill the grill up with chicken or such, without worrying about hot spots and grease fires. I like the half moon size better, but that wasn't an option a few years back. That said, lately I am cooking less with grill grates on charcoal than I used to, as I am doing more 2 zone or multi-level cooking, with an elevated grate.

I had used GGs on my WSCGC and 22" kettle more after I first got them, but found them almost too small to be of much use for searing anything but a couple of burgers or a couple of steak filets, jfmorris . I think with the larger half moon design, I may have better luck with larger pieces of meat. Time will tell.

fzxdoc Kathryn you are trying to use just a single panel? Yeah, that would be confining. I've done it once or twice above the SNS with one panel, but normally just use them with the full set of 3 panels for the kettle interlocked, with the charcoal on the charcoal grate - no SNS involved.
