I am looking for a tried and tested venison backstrap recipe. It could be smoked or grilled. I just don't want to play around and mess this thing up. Please post your recipe here....or PM with it. It is much appreciated!

Venison backstrap recipe needed

Trim off the connective tissue aka silver skin
Slice in 1/4" or so thick strips.
I like to mix equal parts Italian Dressing and any BBQ sauce to marinate in before the following:
Wrap in 1/2 slice of bacon, I use two toothpicks to secure bacon
You can grill just be careful of flare ups. I just grill enough to crisp the bacon a little then move to the indirect side.
