Sad but this has become such a regular occurrence, as has the habit of companies disclosing said breaches months after they happen. Would have been nice to know before, ya know! I'm with you on freezing your credit, bit of a pain when you apply for something new but ultimately well worth it.
You’re darned if you do or darned if you don’t. We swore off credit cards years ago. I’ve actually never had one. We’ve been fortunate to have not needed to borrow money in years either. Now my banker tells me my wife and I are called ghosts. We have no credit rating. My homeowners insurance just went up because they have decided to base it partly on our credit rating. We’re being told we need to get a credit card and establish a credit rating. Then we hear about messes like these. I honestly don’t know what to do.
