My friends all said to get a smart phone, you'll love it. I hate it, mobile websites suck. The only website that works like a regular website on my phone is AR.

Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

After a delicious dinner with FireMan, one of my new favorite ways to eat venison is sliced uniformly, with a generous dose of Meathead's Red Meat Rub and then cooked gently over a live fire to medium rare-ish. Gentle smoke, less than, say, what a kettle would give you, but a kettle would surely work if you can't cook over a bonfire. A pellet cooker would be ideal here too.
Prior to that, my dad would make a pancake batter, season it with SPG (salt, pepper, garlic) and cut the venison up into thin pieces, dip it in that, and fry them with some mushrooms and onions. He always called them "venison tid-bits", so growing up that was my favorite way to eat it, besides homemade jerky.
I've personally never cooked whole venison roasts. Aside from burger in chili and tacos, it's always been the above ways for me.
