I already BBQed some of it. I just used salt and pepper on it for some time (can't remember how long) in the fridge before grilling it on indirect heat. It came out tasty, but chewy. Good enough. But looking for more insight.

Need Advice: Black Bear
I have a small amount of black bear and I'm looking for advice on smoking or BBQing it (especially smoking it). In my case, I have a quarter left of a very small bear that crossed the road at the wrong time. It's enough to provide the protein for a single meal of my family of four.

Braising really helps bear meat. Smoke, wrap with liquid, continue cooking until safe levels to prevent trichinosis.
